This set was inspired by the times I had gone panning for gold with my granpa in the Black Hills, I made the clear resin holding the gold flakes a very light blue to mimic the color of shallow water. I chose black as the second color because I knew the flakes would look stunning against them. For the numbers, I didn’t want to do a simple color like white and I didn’t want to add silver and have it clash with the gold. So I decided to paint the numbers over the black resin gold and the numbers over the gold flakes black. That creates another level of contrast between the black and gold in the dice.
